For beginners we suggest that they should go through ABC of astronomy before they use Astro viewer astronomy software. It is the night sky map. It tells you about the position of the celestial objects from a place, date and time of your choice. It shows you the sky in form of a disc. The circle is your horizon. North, South, East and West are directions on this circle only. The center of the circle is your Zenith. You can imagine the four houses in the disc. The bigger the star in the map means the brighter it is in the sky. The red dotted arc running inside the circle is ecliptic (path of the Planets, the Moon and the Sun in the sky). |
